Workama-huh?

Published by Simon Hall on 2 March 2009.

After 5 years of struggling with one of the lamest excuses for cross-platform, data-base driven software I've ever had the misfortune to come across (‘cough', C&P, ‘cough'), we've finally made the switch to new agency software. Weeks of online research, reviews, and demos preceded our decision to move to a web-based platform called Workamajig. Apart from the rebranding of the product from Creative Manager Pro to Workamajig (the new name is just plain horrible and the cutesy implementation even more annoying), the only downside I've seen so far is that the application has been developed in Flash, a notorious resource hog, particularly on the Mac.

Cool project management features combined with a slick accounting package should help everyone here at the office work a little more efficiently and cut down on the scheduling conflicts we sometimes come across. There's also some nifty features for clients and vendors which we'll be rolling out in the next couple of months. We'll keep you posted.
