Required Change

The redevelopment of the Chamber website had two primary goals.

  1. Provide effective and efficient online communications while delivering timely information for members and nonmembers.
  2. Utilize new technology for event registration, membership purchase, meeting centre bookings, etc.

Solution

In conjunction with Chamber staff, Hall Interactive developed a comprehensive site map for the new web site, detailing navigation and page content as well as content-management application capabilities. Our design team used this layout to develop a simple, user-friendly layout tailored to the content specifications supplied by the Chamber. Finished page templates were then coded and tied into a custom content management application that enabled Chamber staff to control all aspects of the site and keep the content up to date and relevant for visitors.

Results

Chamber members have commented on the navigation improvements and clean design of the new web site. The comprehensive content management system provides chamber staff a simple interface for updating existing content and adding new page content quickly and easily. There have been numerous phone calls from across Canada from other Chambers commenting on the new site.


Members of the business community rely on the Chamber of Commerce website for accurate and accessible information about London business. Redesigning our site under the direction of Hall Interactive has empowered both our users and office staff by positioning the site as a tool. Members of the community at large are able to navigate the site with clarity and ease, while staff is able to maintain the relevancy of the site through Hall's custom designed content management system. Our website has evolved into the first point of contact with our current members and future members.
